RDP Network printer setup
RDP Network printer setup
Hello,
I am using S30's Windows CE 6.0 and HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni printers. The thin clients connect to a Windows 2008 R2 x64 server which has the 64bit drivers installed for these printers however this driver isn't available on the thin client so I set it up using a user defined printer and tried to match the driver names however I was limited to the amount of characters I can use!!
So this didn't work, I tried using a driver that I modified the INF file so the name length was shorter. This worked some what but I am getting errors on the 2008 server as it see the driver as unknown due to it not being WHQL certified. Is there anyway to get around the character length limitation, or even load additional drivers onto the thin client via ftp or something?
Also does CE 6 support remote desktop easy print ( terminal server easy print ).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Terry.
