Wyse 5070 Reboots Randomly

I have several Wyse 5070s throughout my office. I have one thin client that will randomly reboot and then goes to User login screen instead of the normal Kiosk screen that is setup. Sometimes it will go days without rebooting then all of a sudden it will reboot 2 or 3 times in one day. I have checked all the logs and do not see anything suspicious. Anyone else have these kinds of issues or know any type of resolution?

I had also faced the same issue.

Have you find the solution for that?

I'm having an issue with one of my 5070's rebooting too. Its running Wyse ThinOS (8.6_027). I know that there are newer versions of firmware available, but I use a 4 monitor setup, and it was a huge hassle to get it to work (many different firmware version were tried). I'm hesitant to update the firmware since random reboots are less of a pain than not using 4 monitors.

If the thin client is rebooting due to a trap dump (OS Crash) then a crash dump file will be created.  By inserting a USB drive after crash the dump file is copied to the USB drive.  That drive can be shared with Support and engineering can review.

Open a support case, provide them the crash dump and get feedback.   They will likely request you to update to the latest firmware (MR4).  Keep in mind that you always have the ability to both upgrade and downgrade your firmware, so if you find that when you update to the latest you have undesirable results, you can revert to the older firmware.

Changing UWF overlay size to 2048KB and uninstalling Microsoft Edge WebView2 fixed the problem for me, as described here: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/de-de/000211924
