What is the Windows App?

The Windows App is Microsoft’s unified, secure client for accessing:

• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

• Windows 365 Cloud PCs

The package release aligns with Microsoft’s retirement of the Microsoft Remote Desktop Client (AVD). Customers are encouraged to transition to the Windows App to ensure continued support and a consistent experience.
