5070 has no configured wifi after write filter enabled

I have several 5070 thin clients that are having an issue with wifi profiles and saved credentials.

Logged in under User, with the write filter on, the Wi-Fi network connection wants the user ID and password to connect. When I disable the write filter, connection on User is there and connected, same for Admin.

I can forget the network, re-add it, reboot, reboot, switch user, do a hundred other things, reboot and it will still be there....but as soon as I enable the write filter, connection gone. Disable write filter, connection back!

These are managed by WMS, currently running 1.4.1, latest agent, Latest Wi-Fi driver...No Wi-Fi configuration in WMS

To be honest, we have had terrible luck with the Windows based Thin Clients, if it wasn't for a wacky USB emulation issue with old serial equipment on the 3040, we wouldn't even bother with these.

Has anyone had similar issues and gotten a fix?

Similar issue with my Wireless 5070's WiFi settings in WMS do not apply/work If I run Netsh commands to add a profile in post sysprep setup, they apply successfully and WiFi profile is created, but does not work when Write Filter is Enabled. If I unplug the LAN cable with Write Filter Enabled, no WiFi connection. If I unplug the LAN cable with Write Filter Disabled, WiFi connects to my network successfully/quickly. Why does having the write filter on break WiFi config settings?

I had this issue as well.  The only fix was to manually connect to the wifi with the "write filter off" and also apply the wifi profile for the "write filter on" through the WMS configuration and have the unit pull the network connect from there.

This isn't too big of issue for small deployments of units, I around 8 that need to be on wifi.  But if you're doing large deployment, it's a pain.

Please contact support and get a ticket logged.  There are a couple of items observed causing the UWF exclusions to not be retained after some recent Windows 10 updates, and some recent WDA updates.  Which specifically is causing your issues will need to be determined by support so it can be resolved.
