Wyse Management Suite - ThinOS 2502.9.6.1080 upgrade to 2502.10.0060
Hi, I am just starting to test ThinOS10 and ran into an issue after the OS upgraded. I have a test group that was on the latest ThinOS9 Bios/Firmware/Apps. I selected the ThinOS 2502 within the ThinOS9 policies so the system would update to the ThinOS10 Firmware. I also Imported the existing 9x policies to ThinOS 10 policies for this group. The upgrade seemed to go fine. When the device boots back up after the upgrade it hangs on a box that is trying to connect and sync policies from the WMS server. I can X off the box but the device is not talking to WMS and is unmanageable from the console. So far my only way to get around this is to perform a factory reset and go through the setup again and input my abls code and it checks into the WMS console and finishes installing the applications. I tested with a soft rest also today and this appears to work as well. Has anyone else ran into this on upgrading to ThinOS10? Maybe I am missing something in my policy ? Just want to test this out good before I roll it out to 1000 devices. Thanks

I am also fairly new on managing these, but as I have not seen anyone respond thus far. Something to think about if it is enabled still and something I have seen in my own upgrades of devices across major OS numbers. By default Enrollment Validation is enabled on WMS and it may be dropping off of 9 and then need to be validated as 10 before it will play nice and start to talk.
I know this is an incredibly minute thing to point and likely not the case if you have it turned off, but I have seen this behavior when jumping from 8 to 9. If you don't validate it, the device itself just never pulls the next policy sets for the new OS.

@Mr. TK Could you use ThinOS10 2505.10.0076, as this is the latest validate version and let us know if it's working better.

@madhj
Hi,
We are experiencing the same issue. We have already tried upgrading the client using the ISO, but it doesn't work — we always receive the error message: "Setup Failed."
Currently, we are running a Wyse 5070 Extended with the following specs:
8 GB RAM
Intel Pentium Silver J5005 @ 1.5 GHz
12.5 GB SSD
Any support would be appreciated.
