Wyse 3040 – Logi C920e Redirection Issues
Hi there!
First post, sorry if I’m missing any required/expected info.
We are having some issues getting both the USB Mic and Camera working in an RDS environment. We use Wyse 3040 terminals and use direct RDP connections to Windows Server 2019 hosts.
After some Googling, I found the same issue we are having here:
https://www.dell.com/community/Wyse-ThinOS/2012-RDSH-WTOS-8-0-USB-redirection-webcam-detected-but-not/td-p/4637670
Enabling remote audio playback under our direct RDP connection fixes our no mic input issue, but we are unable to play audio from the remote session to the local machine.
The Wyse 3040 is on ThinOS 8.6_807, we’ve tried ThinOS 9.x and got remote mic input without the remote audio playback setting, but the webcam wasn’t recognized.
We also have the below added via group policy:
Local Computer Policy->Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows Components->Remote Desktop Session Host->Device and Resource Redirection
Allow audio and video playback redirection – Enabled
Allow audio recording redirection – Enabled
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

I, also, am searching for a resolution to this issue. We are using Wyse 5070. We've successfully redirected the Logitech camera to the RDP but are having issues with the microphone.

Update: Got the microphone to work but now the camera doesn't. The Windows Camera app will work but Zoom, Webex (freezes the session and have to reboot the thin client), Goto do not.
