WMS 2.0 and ThinOS9 Issue
Hello fellow Wyse users,
I'm testing out the new WMS 2.0 in my SaaS with a terminal I upgraded to ThinOS9. I'm running into a couple issues and I'm hoping someone can help.
1. The Wallpaper and Logo images embedded in the ThinOS9 policy fail to download. It appears ThinOS9 doesn't use the Apps & Data repository, but instead saves the files directly in the policy. My policy is also pushing down certs and the Citrix 1912 package and both those work. It's just the image files. I have tried both PNG and JPG formats.
2. ThinOS9 doesn't have a place to specify the store. The old ThinOS policy allowed you specify the Citrix Storefront custom store name. The ThinOS9 settings do not have the field, so I'm being prompted for the store every time I logon.
3. The Timezone settings in ThinOS9 have been over simplified. You no longer have an option to set the time format and it's defaulting to 24 hour time. Not a big issue, but it can be confusion for end users that are not familiar with the 24 hour time format.
The WMS 2.0 settings for ThinOS9 have been over simplified in general. Even if I switch to advanced there are still a lot of settings missing that are available in the previous ThinOS settings.
Any input would be appreciated from others doing testing,
Boyd

Hey there!
1.) We're facing the exact same problem. Oddly enough, if you remove the Citrix package it just works fine.

I have identified all of the above issues as well. As ThinOS 9 is a released product, I would encourage you to open support tickets to get engineering focus for resolution/change.

2) Please use https://fqdn/citrix/storename
if you use storefront url, it will directly go to the store specified.

1) removing the citrix pkg will disable the workspace app features. Not an ideal solution.
Issue reproduced in lab.
Please create support ticket for better tracking.

Hi Goutam,
I tried using the store name in the URL and that stopped the store selection prompt from popping up during login.
Thank you,
Boyd

Great.
For 1st issue. please try this workaround.
- remove citrix pkg.
- push the desktop wallpaper and screensaver.
- install Citrix pkg.
let me know how it goes.
