Webcam on Wyse 5070 ThinOS 8.6_412 on Citrix
Good Morning,
I have gone through a good bit of the posts here on webcams but I none seem to address the specific issue I am having or the resolution hasn't offered any support.
We have a large fleet of Wyse 5070 terminals in the field. They are all running ThinOS 8.6_412. We manage these devices via a wnos.ini file on a web-server (not WDM).
Like a lot of organizations, we need to get webcams working. We have been testing a lot of different webcams from Logitech, to Polycom to generic brands. And while some refuse to work others we can at least get the preview working inside the Admin area of the terminals. Most recently the model we are testing works with the following in the admin area:
;# Set Camera Device=Camera format=MJPEG width=1280 height=720 fps=30
The issue we have is when we log into Citrix. Any app we launch shows the webcam Citrix HDX Webcam device but cannot get any picture. Usually the app shows a "spinning" icon that you would normally see when the webcam is initializing. Skype for Business responds with it cannot communicate with the camera. Zoom, GoToMeeting, and WebEx show the camera but never show any picture (usually just a spinning animation). The light on the cameras remains lit (it actually "lights" up during the bootup procedure).
Our server infrastructure is Windows 2019 Datacenter on VMWare running VDA 1909.1.0.23058.
We are managing policies via Group Policy and I have gone through, to the best of my ability, and don't see any rules that would be prohibiting it.
Note: For security we have hesitations on allowing USB passthrough. We haven't tested this scenario.
I appreciate any help or guidance the community might have to offer.
