Timeout issue

We are running Wyse 3040 and 5040 terminals over a VPN using RDP on Server 2016. We have a few sites that we have a little packet loss to and about once a day it drops the connection long enough to make the terminals freeze and then go back to the login page. Is there a way to set the timeout per say longer on these? Also on ThinOS does adding the SessionReliability=yes in the INI make a difference or do anything? I see some articles where it's used on ICA, but we don't use citrix.
