ThinOS 9.1 DNS SRV Records

Question

I'm attempting to use DNS SRV Records to assign WMS settings to my thin clients. I have tested on three different versions of ThinOS so far.

On 8.6_013, the thin client will grab _WMS_MQTT, _WMS_CAVALIDATION, and _WMS_GROUPTOKEN. It will not grab _WMS_MGMT and defaults to https://usl.wysemanagementsuite.com.

On 9.1.1131 and 9.1.2101, the thin client will not grab any of the SRV Records.

Is anyone else using SRV Records with success? Is this a known issue? Is this an atypical deployment? I'm guessing DHCP is significantly more popular?

_WMS_MGMT and _WMS_MQTT are set to FQDNs.

DNS is very popular and stable.  Can you post a picture of what your DNS_SRV records look like?

Your pictures look right.    Are you sure your thin clients are getting the right DNS suffix to be able to query those SRV records?

A common mistake is not placing them in the _TCP section of the SRV record.

Only Group token and Cavalidation go at the root.

I'm confident that the DNS Domain and DNS Servers entered into the thin client are accurate.
