ThinOS 9 to 8.6 downgrade
Hi there
We have recently upgraded one of our 3040 Wyse boxes to v9 without realising it doesn't support RDS, I've since installed WSM and enrolled this device and looking to push the 8.6 FW in to the repository, however when i try to add this firmware to the ThinOS v9.0 repository in WSM, it states the application is invalid. Is it possible to downgrade at all via WSM, or would i be better off flashing via USB?
Any help is much appreciated at this stage. Thanks

n order to downgrade from 9.x to 8.x you will need to leverage the USB firmware tool, and a Merlin image. There currently is not an ability to downgrade the devices using WMS.
The USB firmware tool is available here
http://downloads.dell.com/Wyse/USBFT/3.3.0/
The Merlin image for the 3040 is available on the support page for the 3040.
