ThinOS 2502.9.6.1080 upgrade to 2502.10.0060 failed

On our OptiPlex 3000 ThinClient machines we are trying to upgrade current ThinOS 2502 9.6.1080 to 10.0060 with the upgrade package (ThinOS 9.5.3102 or Later to ThinOS 10 2502 Upgrade Package), but after the successful download to the machine and short installation the whole upgrade fails with similar message. Tried again after reboot and the upgrade failed again.

Does someone have any suggestions or have encountered similar issue?

Our Optiplex 3000 Thin Client machines have about 4GB memory and 30GB of eMMC (SSD) space, so the upgrade fail issue might be related to the machine not meeting the technical requirements?

If so will there be a ThinOS 10 version for a bit leaner Optiplex 3000 Thin Client machines?

Currently, 8GB of RAM is the minimum requirement.

Stay tuned to the August release for any updates to this requirement.

@DELL-Scott H

Hi,

We are experiencing the same issue. We have already tried upgrading the client using the ISO, but it doesn't work — we always receive the error message: "Setup Failed."

Currently, we are running a Wyse 5070 Extended with the following specs:

  • 8 GB RAM

  • Intel Pentium Silver J5005 @ 1.5 GHz

  • 12.5 GB SSD

Any support would be appreciated.

Are there any LogFiles we could extract ?

Unfortunately your terminal specs does not meet the requirements to install ThinOS10.

Apparently your machine also needs 32GB SSD storage, besides the 8GB RAM.

Here's a weblink for reference: Dell ThinOS 10.x 2502 and 2505 Release Notes | Dell Estonia
