Teams optimization webcam video quality

I have some Wyse 5070 terminals which are mostly connected to Dell P2418HZm monitors, which have 2MP webcams built into them. Aside from some weirdness where the cameras don't work unless they are connected to specific ports into terminals, I have noticed that when HDX Optimization is in use for Teams, the video quality is very low quality. Is there a way of forcing higher resolution?

The webcams are capable of 1920x1080 resolution, and whilst that is probably excessive, they seem to be stuck around 240p and the quality is very poor.

We have plenty of bandwidth and according to ThinOS 'Performance Monitor' the CPU in the terminal is only using about 15% when on a video call, so should surely be possible to do better.

What build of ThinOS and CWA are you running?

ThinOS is 9.0.3030 and CWA is 2006.1130.   They seem to be the latest versions I think.

Are you seeing this poor video quality on in teams (inside the session) or inside other apps in the session? Have you reviewed this from Citrix, https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX132764 specifically the 7.1, resolution section for relevance? If it is specific to Teams, I would suggest you open a Support ticket with Dell for feedback and troubleshooting.

It's only poor in Teams. I just made a test call from the same session and terminal, and the person I called to test the video said it was markedly better quality even without any video optimization being available in Skype. I do have a ticket open actually (along with the other issue I posted about, for screensharing and audio quality) and the L2 Dell tech support guy pointed me to the same article at Citrix. But, I think that doesn't come into play for Teams video calls, as with Teams optimization in use, the audio/video is coming direct off the terminal rather than via the Citrix session. Certainly it wasn't any better in testing.
