Several problems on 3040 after 9.1 upgrade
Hi,
After doing a test upgrade on one of our 3040 PCoIP clients to 9.1 I have identified multiple issues. Wanted to hear if anyone here has had any of them and maybe has found a solution.
1. Fast Disconnect no longer works.
I've tried F12, F11 and Pause/Break both with and without Ctrl key.
2. Screens wake up with wrong resolution and lines or garbled graphics (photo above).
From time to time when I wake up the client the screen resolution on one or both screens is wrong and there are lines running from top to bottom in multiple colors. Sometimes the entire screen have a pattern of dots of multiple colors.
3. The mouse pointer does not change to the correct one on columns or text input boxes.
4. Keyboard. Backslash "\" does not work when using the AltGr key. Works if I use Ctrl + Alt. Keyboard layout seems correct otherwise and is set to swedish.
Thanks!

Swiss Keyboard settings are correct. Was working with ThinOS 8.6.

Multiple instances of the similar issues seen after 9.1 update.
In a Citrix brokered connection Copy/Paste does not work, WMS check-in fails, cannot push updates, printing failures. Unstable release and buggy at most. Appalled at how this passed QC.

This look like a monitor compatibility issue. try different model monitor, change the converter DP to VGA, DP to DP etc
Refer to the ThinOS 9.1 release notes for the tested list of Monitors.

You mean the compatibility list with only Dell monitors?...
I have never had an issue with any other hardware (Igel, 10zig, HP) and our Eizo monitors.
After upgrading to 21.01 the monitor/graphics issue is still there, so is the issue with the wrong pointer being shown in some applications (Office for example) and sometimes not being aligned between the thin client and the virtual desktop.
At least the quick disconnect and backslash key works now.
Still not usable in production.

This has been the single worst software "upgrade" experience of my life and i've been working as a dev for over 25 years.
There is a complete lack of documentation and that documentation which does exist is both difficult to find and mind-blowingly unhelpful. There's 12 sections of configuration for ThinOS 9.x in WMS and not a single bit of documentation for any of them other than "Configure the options as required"
Then try raising a support ticket - you need a "Dell Service Tag" for WMS which is basically impossible to get hold of unless you are the person who paid for the subscriptions.
I don't think anyone tested anything.

Hi,
we also struggle since the Upgrade to 9.1
It was supposed to be better, specially natively supporting dual screens. with 8.6 they virtually served as one screen, having splash screens and the center of the screen right on the edge of both screens - ridiculous.
We now also have:
Being kicked out of the terminal server serveral times an hours kills productivity. So I now am using smaller PCs to act as RDP-clients - basically whats the job of ThinClients we paid for.
Lucikly we have Support Subscription for the ThinClients and WMS, so im gonna bother Dell with that. Hopefully they fix that soon.
