Problem downgrading from 9.6.1080 to 9.4.1141

Hi,

I am having issues with downgrading an optiplex 3000 thin client (8GB RAM, 64GB storage).

It came from factory with firmware 9.6.1080 installed. Our devices still run 9.4.1141 which is defined in the thinos 9.x policy.

We also defined the Citrix workspace app package (2302) and BIOS package (1.6) in the firmware policy.

Bothe packages are applied like defined in the policy, but the OS firmware is not.

In the evenlog I see:

"(Root package is not acceptable) Root : 9.4.1141"

I change the BIOS password to get the device compliant and also disabled secure boot to test, but no luck.

As far as I know you should be able to downgrade to firmware as old as 9.1.4234.

We are using WMS 5.1.

Am I missing something here?

I am not aware of any known or documented blockers downgrading from 2502 to 2303.

I would suggest stepping down to something intermediate like 2411, then to 2303 to see if you can do this, and open a support case if needed.
