Direct RDP Connection WITHOUT Broker on 3040 with WMS 3.6
Hi,
Sorry if these are basic questions; I have little to no experience with thin clients. I've done a lot of reading and I think what I'm trying to do should be possible, but I'd really appreciate confirmation / anything additional that I've missed to make sure I'm not heading in the wrong direction.
We have:
Some 3040 terminals running ThinOS (8.6_206)
Wyse Management Suite 3.6
The terminals have previously been used to connect to a Citrix environment using an FTP share with wnos.ini files.
I'd like to create direct RDP connection from the 3040 to a dedicated Windows 10 client VDI hosted on Hyper-V. Should I be able to do this without a broker?
The device is registering in WMS, and I've created a Direct RDP policy pointing to a specific device name. Is there anything else I need to do?
The applications on the device are RTME.i386.pkg and horizon.i386.pkg, does anything else need to be installed on the 3040?
Thank you so mch in advance for any help!
