3040 Registration
Hello
I am new to Dell Wyse suite
I am trying to register manually Wyse 3040 client that has never been in WMS
I entered group ID (where we have policy applied with various settings including desktop wallpaper)
i disabled CA validation and client sucessfully registered with WMS and reboots
I can manage the client from WMS but poicy not applying and no desktop
is there anything else i need to do?
if i enable CA validation it fails to validate CA authority on client

thank you
on the client status its checked out, registered
CA validation disabled
agent 4.5.1.0 and firmware 8.6.807
ThinOS 9.1.2056
WMS Standard 3.2.780
I can remote control, reboot the client remotley fine but its not getting policies
I did register the client manually to one Group where i did firmware upgrade and then moved the client to production group where policies are associated
I was expecting policies to apply straight away? reboot done many times

Hi Markotsg, i do have several questions:
- do you see the Client registered in WMS, is it compliant there?
- wich version of ThinOS are you using? Did you configure the settings on the right version?
- what does the event Log say on the Client, and the one you can download from WMS?
Kind Regards

Hi Markotsg, to apply the 9.x Firmware to 8.x Clients, you have to configure the policy under the 8.x section!
