Wyse hardware to buy - Only being used for RDS to Windows 2008 R2 server
Wyse hardware to buy - Only being used for RDS to Windows 2008 R2 server
I'm looking to put together the following private network that won't be connected to Internet after the initial setup. It will consist of the following below:
1. Windows 2008 R2 server running as a Remote Desktop Services Host.
2. Six thin or zero clients that only really need to have an RDS client capable of connecting to the server.
The server and clients will be connected to a switch that isn't connected to the Internet so it will just be a private network. I really don't need the Wyse clients to do anything else other than open up a session for RDS to the server. Do I need to get Wyse hardware with Windows Embedded 7 or will a lesser OS work? I would love to be able to set the Wyse clients to just open up to just a "Remote Desktop Connection" client where they could just enter their credentials on the server. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

sure thing.
get a T10 running WTOS configured to connect directly up to the Terminal Server.
