Creating a Wyse USB Firmware Tool
Hello,
We have some Wyse V50LE thin clients we need to upgrade to the latest firmware. This is what I have done so far following Dell instructions found HERE:
1) Downloaded and installed "Dell_Wyse_USB_Imaging_Tool_v2.0.9.15.exe" from the Dell website:
https://downloads.dell.com/wyse/USBFT/2.0.9.15/
2) Download both versions of "Firmware for WDM or USB Firmware Tool deployment" from the Wyse website:
3) Within "Dell Wyse Imaging Tool (2.0.0.15)", I select "Image Push" then "+" to browse to a .rsp file. The end result is:
"Failed to add image. Unsupported I2D content is found in file: C:\WDM Packages\5V52_662_12.rsp"
I have spent quite alot of time on this with no luck, reformatting USB drive, downloading diffrent firmware packages ect.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks
Paul

Skate Dude,
The V50LE is not supported with the USB Firmware tool. to vies the supported thin clients, open the USB Firmware tool, click on Help and select "Support Matrix".
To reimage the V50LE you need an FTP server and a WLX.INI file. This is an EOL product, but you can find the documentation under discontinued products at www.wyse.com/kb.
