(VNC - OS X) Multiple displays - cursor position out of alignment.
(VNC - OS X) Multiple displays - cursor position out of alignment.
I have a second display arranged to the right of my laptop's internal display. It is taller than the laptop's display and is centered vertically with the laptop screen (in other words, the top left corner of the monitor is an inch or two higher than my laptop screen. I've set up the "Arrangement" of the monitors to reflect this. cl.ly/3b1H1w1I1e3N0i0A1U2A
When I connect with PocketCloud with the monitor attached, the mouse cursor (and thus the clicks) are a couple inches (same as the difference between the tops of the two monitors) lower than where I tap on the screen. This is regardless of whether I use the little draggable arrow tool, or just use a finger to tap. This makes it almost completely impossible to use, because I can't see where the cursor actually is. And I can't unplug the monitor from remotely if I forgot and left it plugged in. This bug seems very reproducible and has been there for a while. Can something be done about this?
Thanks,
-X.P.

Please take a look at our knowledge-base topic about this. It is actually an issue with Mac OS X Lion 10.7. We do have a work-around for the issue. See the link below:

Thanks Josh--
However, I don't notice this problem when using the Screen Sharing client. Only with PocketCloud. So, perhaps the PocketCloud app could detect this condition and compensate for it. I know it would make me more willing to pay for the app.
I prefer not to rearrange my monitors because I have it set this way to reflect their physical positioning. It would be jarring to move between windows if I arranged them that way.
All that said, I am grateful for the acknowledgment that it is a known issue, and at least to know I have the option of the rearranging.

The Screen Sharing client was developed and is maintained by Apple. Any other 3rd party app will have the issue you are seeing in PocketCloud. We are waiting on Apple to fix it on their end as there is nothing we can do.
