VNC connection and authenticating with a username AND password?

VNC connection and authenticating with a username AND password?

There doesn't seem to be any way to put in a username for VNC authentication. Just a password. Is this a missing feature or is there a way I'm missing to put in a username?

So you're saying reduce my security in order to get your product to work? VNCing to a machine utilizing AD authentication requires a username AND password. There is no reason why we should reduce security to use Pocketcloud with a VNC connection. Please add an option to put in a username when using a VNC connection.

*I created a second account because the forum's password reset does not work. I submitted an email to your support group for this but have not gotten a response.

With VNC, you should only need to put in a password to connect. If you have a setting to authenticate using a username AND password, you may need to change it to password only.

Some VNC clients support usernames AND passwords for VNC connections, unfortunately our application only supports password protection for VNC connections.

Please put in a feature request to allow username/password VNC connections using the link below:

Our product team will review the request and hopefully it will make it into a future release.

We've been asking for this feature for two years. If Wyse/Dell hasn't added support for it by now, it's never going to happen.

We have a need for approximately 100 client licenses. PocketCloud would be a great solution but without support for this basic, standard authentication method, it just cannot be taken seriously. Of course, $1000 worth of licenses is nothing compared to the cost to implement the passing of an extra username field during authentication, but you have to question how many other enterprise-class organizations are passing on your software.

Thanks for the input. Please put in your vote for the current feature request. The more votes, the better.
