Pocketcloud double tap issue

Pocketcloud double tap issue

Hi there. First time posting on forums because I have exhausted all my options. I am running pocket cloud to connect a point of sale software. It all works fine except for one issue. When double tapping on a button too fast, it registers 4 times the same key instead of twice. For example if I try typing in a login number of '11'. It puts in'1111'. This only happens if the same key is pressed twice in a row. If I press '12' it puts in '12'. Is there a fix for this? Thank you

What version of PocketCloud are you using? What device are you using this on (iPad, iPhone, etc) and what version of iOS is installed? What type of computer are you connecting to and what OS is it using (Windows XP home, Windows 7 Ultimate, etc)

Are you seeing this behavior in other applications or just the point of sale application you are using?

Hi Josh, Thank you for your reply.

I am using Pocketcloud v 2.2.134 on the iPad2 running iOS 5.1.

The computer I am connecting to is running Windows XP Professional. The double tap issue happens for any software I try running. If I just open up Notepad, it will create the same issue.

Thanks

Same issue here. We are using PocketCloud in a similar way. When you log in using an onscreen keypad (the onscreen keypad is part of the program), pressing the number twice results in 4 clicks. You have to punch in very slowly to get around this, which becomes very cumbersome when you have to do this all the time.

My thinking is that the wyse developers made this as a way to make the double click more precise. It works great while working in windows, but for some programs it can cause issues. Any way to turn it off?

Thanks.

By the way, love the app. Keep up the work.

Are you guys using manual or auto discovered connections? If you are using the companion, what version is it? Are you connecting with VNC or RDP?

I am using a manual connection, added in the IP address for the machine I'm connecting to using RDP.

I have not been able to reproduce the issue with a manual connection to my XP Pro machine and my iPad2 (5.1). I am curious if the application you are using with the onscreen keyboard is somehow causing a problem. Is there any way I could get the name of the application to try and reproduce it in house?

Its not really an onscreen keyboard that is the issue. I basically log into my Windows XP machine (which I've created a second username for the iPad). When I connect to that machine on Pocket Cloud, I get into the Windows desktop and from there anything I click twice will result in 4 clicks. I will try get a video recorded.

I would also like to chime in here and state that we are also having the same double tap issue. We are on 2.2.231 and are connecting to a Windows 2008 R2 server. The application we are using on the server is designed for a touch screen, such as the ELO touchscreen monitors. So like DHANNA above, our application has a built in onscreen keyboard that we must use. So when we type in a last name of "miller", it types out "millller" or if type in "1992" it will put in "199992". Any chance we can get this fixed?

That would be helpful for us to help diagnose the issue.

Any movement on this as I am also getting the same problem on version 2.2.237, not an application issue - RDP to Win 2008 R2 Server get issue at login or in application.

Thanks for the additional information guys. We are aware of the issue and I was able to reproduce similar behavior by using the calculator. I have made our engineering team aware of the problem and hopefully in one of the next releases we can get a fix in for it!
