keyboard not working on PocketCloud
keyboard not working on PocketCloud
I just purchased iPad 4 to work anywhere connecting to the internet using cellular data. Sadly, the logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover that I bought doesn't work with PocketCloud (which I must use to log into my VPN secure server for work). (THe keyboard works fine elsewhere.)
Do you have suggestions on how I can make this keyboard work? I have tried disabling bluetooth and logging into the server via PocketCloud, then turning on bluetooth and my keyboard and the keyboard will sometimes register, but the characters that it types are messed up.
If I purchase an apple keyboard will it work with PocketCloud? Is that the only external keyboard to work with PocketCloud on my iPad 4?

The remote server and keyboard are set to English. Sometimes when I log in the keyboard will work but not the space bar. When this happens if I disable the bluetooth and try to use the iPad keyboard on screen the space bar ALSO doesn't work. I have to log out completely and disabloe bluetooth in order to log into my server and utilize just the iPad without keyboard. Sometimes when I log it, it will type and weird characters come up, other times I log in and there are no responses at all from keyboard or the iPad on screen keyboard. I am wondering if there is the likelihood that IF I PURCHASE the PocketCloud Pro that my keyboard will work? I am fine to purchase the app, but don't want to purchase it if it doesn't work as I already purchased RDP (as oppsed to RDP lite which was free) in an attempt to solve my problem logging into my serve, and after purchasing it, it still didn't work for me. Luckily, PocketCloud DID work for being able to log into our server with my iPad, but the keyboard issue remains. That would be fantastic if all it took was my buying the $15 version as opposed to buying a new apple keyboard. My keyboard works fine in all other applications on my iPad as far as I am aware.

Our apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to test with all hardware types. We have tested using Apple bluetooth keyboards and they do work fine with our application.
That is strange that it will sometimes work but the characters are messed up. What language is your iPad and remote servers set to? Is it possible that they are using different languages?

Thanks for all of the information on the keyboard issues you are experiencing. I have reported it to our engineers and hopefully we can get some fixes in for our next release!
I don't think purchasing the pro version would change how the keyboard is behaving. I think our engineers need to make some changes in our application to fix the problem.

Has a fix been made for this?
I recently downloaded pocketcloud for the same reason has Heidi and I also have the logitech keyboard, it works fine in other apps but when I connect to my laptop with pocketcloud the space bar does not work (Not sure about special characters - I haven't tried any of them).
The space bar doesn't work when you try it from the ipads touchscreen keyboard either so it is obviously a software glitch.
