I keep on getting "RDP session disconnected"

I keep on getting "RDP session disconnected"

Hello,

I have recently purchased PocketCloud Remote Desktop Pro for iPad (2, iOS 5).

After installing the Windows companion, and after restarting both computer and iPad, and after checking that my Windows (version 7, 64 bits) "allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure)" and checking that Windows client is enabled in Firewall, and trusted by antivirus ... after all, the paid application is still completely useless. I have no idea what to do. I wish that I didn't waste money.

Thanks for any helpful instructions.

Regards

Note that the issue above is encountered while trying "auto-discover". So I had to add manual connection to remote access my computer.
Still, I need to understand how to solve the problem ? Moreover, let me ask you, when "auto-discover" connection mode is necessary or recommended ?
Thanks.

Are you using auto-discovery or a manual connection?

Within PocketCloud, if you open the connections settings there is a NLA switch you can turn on there.

To edit NLA settings on your Windows 7 server, you can do the following:
Right Click on Computer > Select Properties > Select Remote Settings on the left hand side of the Window. On the Remote tab, there are 3 options:

-Do not allow connections to this computer --- if this is selected you will not be able to connect via RDP
-Allow connections from computers running any version of Remote Desktop (less secure) --- If this selected, NLA is not required
-Allow connections from any computer running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (more secure) --- If this is selected, NLA is required to be turned on within the connections settings within PocketCloud

Interesting, copy/pasting that text worked fine for me. Are you in a country outside of the USA? Try navigating to the knowledge-base by doing the following:

1. Got to www.pocketcloud.com
2. Click on Support
3. Select Knowledge-Base under PocketCloud Remote Desktop
4. Search for "top five"
5. In those results, look for "RDP Session Disconnected - Top Five Reasons Why You Get This Message on an iOS Device"

I just purchaed the PRO version, and I am also getting "RDP session disconnected" , i also have the reular free version, i have no errors or problems getting connected with the free version, but when i try to connect with the PRO version (just purchased 2/8/13) all i get is that message ,with iPad2 with iOS 6.1. I only purchaced the PRO for the screen resoulton issue i was having with the free version, all connection settings are exact to each other. I have tried the un install and re install and still no luck. So , am I stuck with this PRO version with no chance of refund? or is this an issue with just the PRO verison as the free version I have no issues connecting. Almost feel like this was a waste of $14.99. Have tried all problem solvers and still no luck.

Sorry for the trouble, can you try uninstalling the Free version of the application, restarting your device, and trying again? It is possible that because you have the Free and Pro version installed on the same device, it could be causing the problem (we have seen this behavior for some users in the past).

If that does not resolve the problem, check the certificate of the remote computer, or if you trust the remote computer, on your iOS device within PocketCloud:

Go to Settings
Select Security
Turn ON the “Accept All Certificates” option.

Please let me know if this does not help.
