Firewall issue

Firewall issue

Trying to use PocketCloud Pro on my ipad. After installing the download on my laptop (the computer I want to be able to access remotely), I run the setup, and keep getting a red "X" on the "Configuring Firewall" line. I have the Windows and McAfee firewall turned OFF. Any suggestions??

I have Windows 7 Professional. It is installed on my home laptop, and I just re-downloaded e companion file last night from WYSE website, so it is the most current version for Windows.

What version of Windows do you have the Companion software installed on? Is it on a home or business network? What version of the Companion software is installed?

Even with getting the X on the firewall setup, are you able to connect or is this stopping you from being able to connect? Are you installing this logged in as the Administrator?

It is possible that you may need to allow the application to use port 3389 for RDP connections and port 5900 for VNC in your firewall and/or router.

After the installation
- Do you see a Tray icon (yelow kite) on the system tray?
- If so rightclick -> Select Preference-> Select Advanced Tab
- What is the RDP port and VNC port listed there

Also can you run the diagnostics and let us know the results.

The firewall is the only part of the setup that I get the red x on....so when it goes to make the connection where I normally would see the connection as discovered on the iPad, it never shows up. I use the gmail address to connect to my work network/desktop with zero problems whatsoever.
