Can't connect if computer's display is off.
Can't connect if computer's display is off.
Hi!
Am really hoping for help on this because PocketCloud's useless until this glitch is fixed.
Once my computer's screen goes to sleep (eg. after an hour), I cannot connect with Pocketcloud.
Details of the problem from watching my computer as I try to connect:
Running Pocketcloud on iPhone4s/iPad2 and Companion on Mac Lion - all most recent versions:
When I connect from my iPhone, the Mac's display wakes and the password screen is displayed on the computer (but not on the iPhone). Instead, the iPhone continues to show the "connecting" screen. After about 20 seconds, because the computer has received no further input, the display goes back to sleep. Later still the iPhone makes it's connection, but at this point the computer's display is back to sleep and no input from the iPhone can wake it. About 30 seconds later I get one of many connection error messages and the connection is lost.
If the connection is very fast (i.e. I'm on the same WiFi network) I can quickly type the password in before the display sleeps again. But this is impossible over 3G because the display is asleep before the screen shows on the phone.
Interestingly as well, even through I can't interact with the computer once the display is asleep, I can still download files! (for about 30 seconds until the connection is always lost)
Aside from setting my display to "never sleep" (which isn't practical) I can't find a solution.
Thanks!
