Won't discover my remote (home) PC. Help?

Won't discover my remote (home) PC. Help?

If anyone could help me with this one I would be eternally grateful as I its driving me mad!
The problem is I have first installed the PocketCloud on my home PC running Windows7 professional. I used my googlemail.com account as described and everything ok including auto discovery. I then installed the android app on my mobile and also used gmail to log in. Everything still ok except the android app doesn’t descover my home pc.
I have followed the help files to set up a connection manually, I have tryed endless combinations but to no avail it still cant find my home pc. I have also checked to activate remote desktop in windows settings. What I have noticed (perhaps as a clue) when I click preferences on Pocket Cloud in my bottom right tool bar active on my desktop and then Advanced tab and then ‘run diagnostics’ the message comes up RDP is not listening on port 3389, although for the life of me I cant find any reference to this as way of a help file.

If anyone has had this problem or help I would realy appreciate it.
Many Thanks
Dean

Hi Deano,

You need to solve the issue of listening on port 3389 first. Try turning off your firewall. If you have a third party security software that includes its own firewall, temporarily disable that. Then turn off Remote Desktop and then turn it back on. Then try an RDP client to see if it's working. If it works, find out how to setup your firewall or security software to 'allow' traffic to port 3389 or from 'remote desktop'.

Good luck,

Jeff

Thanks Jeff- for the response.

Deano, please let me know if you are still having trouble after Jeff-'s suggestion and I can investigate the issue further.
