VNC to prt failed message
VNC to prt failed message
I've installed Wyse pocket cloud on my desktop machine as well as the app on my android phone. After signing in on the desktop with my google account, I click on options, then test, and I get the message RDP to port 3389 successful. VNC to port failed. How do I correct this problem? I used this exact same setup with the same phone but on a different computer and it worked well.

what does this mean? i can only connect to RDP or vnc? if i want vnc instead of rdp on my windows 7 ultimate do I have to disable rdp ports?

This is normal. What OS are you using on PC?
If this is Windows Home Addition then your VNC will pass but RDP will fail. If this is Windows Pro (Ultimate, or Server) then RDP will pass but VNC will fail.

Hi nato, vnc should work with any operating system.
Is your vnc port blocked on firewall?
Can you please check if the vnc service is up and running?
5500 is the default port, It could be different.

There is no problem. If you want to connect to the machine that supposts RDP (like Win Ultimate) via VNC, then all you need is to install VNC server on it. Example (TightVNC). Then you'll be able to connect to this machine via VNC or RDP by your choice.
But by default Win Ultimate supports RDP connection only.
