VNC Password Wrong

VNC Password Wrong

I have a Droid X and I'm trying to log in to my MacBook 10.6.7 I've gotten everything set up but when I try and connect I get VNC Password Wrong... I've changed the password under the sharing but still can't get it to work... I paid for the pro and expect this to work and it's already been to long for a refund in the android market so I need this to work... Thank you for any help....

I just installed it on my Wi-Fi only Xoom. It detects my home PC, but when I try to connect I also get a VNC Password Wrong message. I have Tonido app on the PC and it uses the VNC service too. Shutting down Tonido did not help.

Are you able to connect using a desktop vnc client like chicken vnc-using the same password?

Hi Nalper, Are you using the password you set in your vnc app. This is not windows login password. In addition, Please make sure you use the primary keyboard , and not secondary character. Example change to number keyboard .

I haven't tried using any desktop vnc client... I set my vnc threw the mac settings even using a simple 1 letter password as to make sure no typos but nothing. It tries to conect then the wrong vnc password pops up...

... never mind ... the message ("wrong password") is misleading. A quick packet capture on the VNC server (host) machine shows no communication attempts on port 5900, while using the Android app (with obvious traffic when using any other client). As the host has been checked for firewall rules allowance on any incoming request on 5900, I need to move the debugging upstream from the host, although my Android is connected WiFi to the same network as the host, so no upstream firewalls should stay in between?!? Unless some sort of tunnel is expected on the part of Wyse on both platforms, which makes this a little more difficult to troubleshoot

Hi all,

Please make sure you entering VNC password that you did set in TightVNC.
TightVNC was installed automaticaly when you install PocketCloud Windows Companion. And it asked you to enter password
Make sure that "Allow LoopBack connections" checkbox is checked.

If you use manual connection you have to install TightVNC yourself.
