Support for Domain Authentication with VNC
Support for Domain Authentication with VNC
Any chance that sometime soon Domain Authentication/Multiple Domain Support might be added for VNC? In my office enviroment, we use Active Directory groups to configure access permissions for VNC. As such, we don't really use a single admin password for the VNC servers running on all of our stations. Certain groups are permissed for full control, and some are permissed for view-only access.
Per the sticky, here is my info:
Device: Archos 101
Device OS: Android Froyo 2.2
Client OS: Windows Server 2000, WinServer 2008, Windows XP, and Windows 7
App Version: PocketCloud Pro Version 1.1.208 (Had to find this in the market, data was not listed at the bottom of the help tab per the sticky's instruction)
Connection Method: Manual
Environment: I use the software both at home, and at work, but this concern is related to it's use within my office environment, and enabling Domain Level Authentication/MS Logon (DOMAIN\username and PassWord)
Thanks for any help that you might be able to provide. I truely enjoy this VNC/RDP client, it's frankly the best I've found. Adding this feature, though, would definately make it most excellent!

This would be a requirement for me as well to purchase the app. I run a similar environment, though primarily Server 2003, Server 2008, XP, and a few Win7 clients. I use UltraVNC enterprise-wide for internal tech support and some server access (where RDP isn't practical or available), and we use domain-level authentication for all our VNC access. This would be secure via VPN once Cisco's AnnyConnect client comes out later this month, so I will be needing a robust remote-access solution in short order.

Not to bring up an old thread... But, heres the deal: the above works for RDP. But, in the VNC settings, as all of these use UltraVNC, there is no username field. Only a password field. I simply need a dev to add a username field that one would only fill when using MSLogon on the remote machine... This would make this application totally complete.

Hi,
Please try:
1) Launch PocketCloud > Press and Hold the machine name you want to connect > Edit
2) Add the domain that your computer connects to at work before your username followed by a slash. For example, if your domain was "POCKETCLOUD" then you would set your username as "POCKETCLOUD\user".
