Solved! Auto discovery problem over the Internet - it's a Google DNS problem!

Folks,

I am posting this in the hopes that it will save others a lot of time and hassle. I spent hours trying to figure out why my Pocketcloud over 3g/4g stopped working. Auto discovery would work on my network at home, but not remotely (after months of working just fine). I then remembered that I had recently switched to Google DNS (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4). Playing a hunch, I switched my router over to OpenDNS settings and low and behold, auto discovery started working again over the Internet, including 3g/4g.
