Server Connection Failed. Check your network connectivity.

Server Connection Failed. Check your network connectivity.

I get the message "Server Connection Failed. Check your network connectivity." when I attempt to Check for Updates from the Windows Companion version v2.0.3.

RDP to port 3389 is successful. VNC to port 5900 failed.

Also in Auto Discovery in the Windows Companion when I enter the credentials for the Google account it says "Login failed".

I can connect to my account in IE at the Google main page.

The computer this is being attempted on is a corporate PC. What do I need to communicate to my network admins to get this to work?

That's correct, your corporate firewall is probably restricting access to the Google Talk service

Gmail chat does not work on my PC so I assume it is blocked and therefore I cannot use Auto Discovery.
