remote connect after reboot
remote connect after reboot
Hi
I'm away from office where i left my laptop and was connecting ok. However the remote machine then rebooted due to some problems. I think its restarted ok because it appears as discovered in PocketCloud. However when I enter the requested credentials, PocketCloud just cycles back and keeps asking for them again. So it looks like I'm unable to connect.
Im assuming its not possie to connect without the remote machine beng logged in? Or is there some way to still connect in this situation?
Also, why does PocketCloud not remember the credentials? It asks me to key them in everytime I connect!
Remote machine is running Windows7 and im trying to access using Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Thanks

Hi,
Try to enter and save your credentials by next steps:
1. Press and Hold the machine label you want to connect
The pop up window shows up with Connect, Edit and Delete options
2. Click Edit and enter your login credentials (username and password)
3. Click Save
After that you should be able to login to remote machine without being asked for credentials.
Please let me know if it works

Hi. Thanks for the response. Unfortunately the edit mode doesn't allow the domain to be stored which is required for my connection. So it doesnt work for me. Maybe you could add the domain and store that information too?
Would you also please answer the other part of my question. Is it possible to connect to my laptop after it has rebooted? Does the machine have to be logged in to access it? If not, how do I set that up because right now I am unable to access the remote machine sine it rebooted even though I can see it on the devices list.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,
You can edit your domain:
1) Edit your connection.
2) Add the domain that your computer connects to at work before your username followed by a slash. For example, if your domain was "POCKETCLOUD" then you would set your username as "POCKETCLOUD\user".

Just got home and logged my computer in again and now its working fine. I guess when the remote machine rebooted the required service doesnt start up until its logged in again.
Would appreciate you storing the username, password and domain so that I don't need to keep keying it in each time.
Thanks.

No. Doesn't work. When trying to connect, the credentials menu comes up again, has domain\username set as a default but still asks for password and domain (optional). Even if I complete the password and leave the optional domain blank it still won't log in. I have to remove the domain prefix from the username, add the password, and add the domain into the optional field. Then it connects perfectly.
I really think you need to test the credentials edit function because it honesty doesn't perform for me the way it should. Every time I log in I must define credentials. Tedious.
Samsung Galaxy Tab, froyo 2.2 android os and Windows 7 on target machine.
