Guys,
I just installed this amazing app but i do not have user acounts seted on my pc and i do no want to start windows with the login screen asking me the password. So is it posible to use pocketcloud without a windows user acount?
I have win xp on a home theater pc that starts some alpications at start up and if i setup an acount with pasword it is anoing for me to enter the pasword each time win starts.
Or maybe is there a way to setup an acount with pasword but start windows aytomaticaly logged to that acount ?

If you are connecting with RDP a password is required (for security purposes). If you are connecting via VNC, you can connect without having a Windows password. You will be required to set a VNC password if you are connecting with VNC. If you are using the Companion software, you most likely set this password already.

I highly recommend you download and install the Companion software on the PC you want to connect to. You can download and install the latest version of the Companion software here:
http://www.wyse.com/serviceandsuppor...20Downloads%29
When installing this, you will set up a VNC password. That will be the password you enter in PocketCloud when you are prompted. Using the Companion is the easiest way to set everything up.
If you have already installed the Companion software, I would recommend uninstalling it before installing the new version above. Also be sure to uninstall any VNC applications that may be installed on the computer. When installing the new Companion, a VNC application called TightVNC will be installed as well to help our application get connected to your computer. Please let me know if this helps.

Josh,many thanks
1.I uninstoled the previus version and installed the new one.
2.when i run the setup it asks me one pasword.the one that the system uses to login.is that what you mean?
3.i run the diagnostic and i get the message vnc not listening on port 5900. what to do?
4. You mension the tightvnc. Where to find that?the instalation software sets only one icon.the companion.
I am triyng to connect localy wireless entering the desktop ip.
Also i have problems with the rdp because the desktop resolution is much higher than the one pocketcloud uses and when i connect with the rdp i have all my icons rearenged permanetely even if i terminate the connection.
I read aomewhere on the forum that the vnc do not do that.am i missing something?
Another reason to want the vnc is that i do not need to mess with port forwarding.
Please let me know what do do.i apreciate your help.

Please take a look at our knowledge-base topic related to setting a VNC password here:
http://wysetechnologyinc.zendesk.com...-wrong-message
That password is the one you should enter under connection settings for the specific connection you wish to connect to.
As for the application asking you to upgrade, you can delete the RDP connection so you can connect to the VNC one. It will come back the next time you launch the application.
