Please help... Pro version - mouse and resolution
Please help... Pro version - mouse and resolution
Hi everyone,
I have the PocketCloud Pro version 1.2.237 - Discovered connections.
I am very new at this, so please be patient. Downloaded and installed ok, everything seems to be working fine.
- is there a way I can ONLY have the mouse cursor, without all the touchpointer sphere thingy? Because even in its reduced form, it still takes a lot of room on my small 8" Samsung Galaxy Tab. It's a bit annoying and just the mouse cursor would be great!
- can someone provide detailed instructions as to how I can check if the automatic resolution is on or off? Do I do that on the tablet, computer or both? On the tablet, all I could access was a settings menu which only shows wallpaper on/off, brightness, etc. Also, how do I change resolutions if I decide to do that manually? On the tablet or computer?
My systems:
Computer: win 7, Home premium 64 bit, VNC port 5900
- PocketCloud Windows Companion v. 2.2.10
Tablet:
Samsung Galaxy Tab model GT-P 1010
- firmware 2.2.1
- kernel version 2.6.32.9
PocketCloud Pro version 1.2.237 - Discovered connections
Thank you much!!

Hi all,
I opened a request for support regarding this matter. Just in case anybody else is interested, here is the response. I must add that Roger, the tech support gentleman assigned to my case was very professional and got back to me very fast. I give Wyse / PocketCloud an A+ for actually caring about their clients.
Unfortunately you cannot reduce the Touch pointer, nor change its look and feel. Without the touch pointer you don't have access to your right-button, Zoom Toggle, other keyboard keys and the other enhanced options.
The resolution can only be changed on RDP connections. VNC will connect to the Native resolution of the computer you are connecting to. If your computer monitor is set for 1024x768, than your galaxy tab will present you the screen at that resolution. If you want to connect at a different resolution, you will have to change it via Control Panel > Display > Change Resolution.
For VNC connections, you cannot change the resolution from the mobile device.
I hope this clarifies the issue.
