Keyboard input not handled properly
Keyboard input not handled properly
We purchased Wyse PocketCloud Pro with the primary purpose to access our business computers from anywhere. One of the primary applications that we run at work is a Visual Basic frontend to a database program. Here's what is not working:
When we enter keystrokes into an "auto-complete" combo box, the contents of the list presented in the drop-down list should be filtered by the characters entered. This works fine locally, and it works using a competitive product (I'll leave it nameless for now).
However, when we use PocketCloud Pro, we can see the characters being entered into the edit control of the combo box, but the drop-down list acts peculiarly:
- If we enter a lowercase letter as the first input, the drop-down list does nothing. It doesn't even appear.
- If we enter an uppercase letter as the first input, the drop-down list appears, populated with every possible entry. Typing in any subsequent characters does not filter the content of the drop-down list at all.
We have observed this while sitting directly in front of the remote computer. It is the strangest thing because we would assume that entering characters (keystrokes) using PocketCloud Pro would be no different than entering them locally. However, it is different.
We really need this to work in order to do our jobs. Is there anyone out there who has experienced something similar to this and found the solution? Are there any Wyse developers who can offer us some assistance? Thanks!

I am having difficulty with the keyboard side of things as well.
I have a GalaxyTab 10.1v and I have my home PC setup to provide VNC server sessions for my Windows 7 machine and Virtual Machine instances (on different ports) on VMware workstation. I have no difficulty connecting, but when i try to type the remote desktop seems to receive a "Sticky key" problem. The initial character typed is repeated like a sticky key. I have logged a support request with Wyse for assistance.
I do have SwiftKey Tablet X installed, but i have tried that and the native android keyboard and the same problem is produced.
I can't categorically discount cellular network connection quality as a cause, but i'm not sure if connection quality would manifest itself in this type of keyboard issue.
This problem makes an almost the perfect remote desktop client useless. If the problem resolves, i'll pay for the Pro to add additional connections/sessions for my other VM's.
EDIT: I found a more appropriate thread for my issue. http://community.wyse.com/forum/show...-(repeats-keys)

I should have mentioned that we purchased an ASUS Transformer, and this is the tablet we are trying to run PocketCloud Pro on. I'm sure this little tidbit matters. Sorry for omitting it on my original post.
