wyse management suite 1.3 - SERVER IP CHANGE = cant manage clients
Hiya,
I built and setup a WMS 1.3 Server, running on Server 2012 R2, on our former office site.
As part of our migration plan to the new office, I have cloned the VM, then migrated that clone to the other sites storage, and imported into our vmware cluster.
The VM was setup with its new ip address, and dns was updated to reflect this.
The website works, and clients can (once they got dns updated) call into the WMS server.
The problem is, certain clients cannot now call in and update their new ip information in the system. We also can no longer message clients as admins, or can we collect logs from clients or change the groups remotely.
I suspect that Dell, in their infinate wisdom have created installers that hard code the physical NIC IP into the database / application config, rather than simply using the loopback address / 127.0.0.1
Where is the documentation to fix this?
This is frankly ridiculous, and exactly what i would expect from DELL.
Thanks

Steps to Fix WMS IP Address Change:
back up the registry
go to HKEY_Local_Machine\system\CurentControlSet\Services\memcached
Right click on "ImagePath" and export to a safe location folder
Edit the ImagePath to – " " -d runservice -p 11211
Reboot the server
Once server is up, allow time for WMS services to start (Tomcat service is slow to start)
go to WMS > Portal Administration > Setup and confirm Server IP address and WMS URLs are correct
