WMS upgraded from 4.1 to 4.3 and 4.4, unable to receive license key

Dear Support,

We have upgraded our WMS from 4.1 to 4.3 (and also to 4.4 when we were reading here about 4.3 issues) and never managed to successfully get the key after completing the section that requires information for our on-premise installation.

We have tried with several emails, we input the on premise identifier (with and without the host name) but never receive any license key on the email we specified. Apparently, it can only be used once we we have tried with at least 5 emails, always getting the message:

Thank you for Registering your WMS Standard Installation
A email has been sent to the Email Address you Provided. Use the Standard WMS Key From the
Email to continue the installation of the  On-Prem WMS standard application.
Note: Please make sure the WMS On-Prem is the latest version. For updates, visit Dell Support. For help or questions you can visit site Wyse Management Suite Support
but never actually receiving a mail.
At this point our WMS is down, requiring activation.
Are we missing something, can you please assist?
Thank you,
Ted Tsoukas

I am experiencing the same issue, luckily I took a snapshot of my server and just reverted it back so my WMS was online.

Certainly, make sure you are updating to the latest WMS build possible according to the Release notes.   Initial releases of WMS with the STD key requirement had some room for improvement.

As part of the WMS 5.0 release, scheduled for 1-20 there will be an updated workflow for Std (free) license retrieval.

When a user enters their info on the registration page for a license (Asusming they already did this once)

https://www.wysemanagementsuite.com/#/stdInstall/new

  • If a Standard license key or a Renewal key has already been generated for the customer associated with a specific On-Prem Identifier, WMS will resend the previously generated license key to the Email ID entered on the trial page if the WMS Admin try to re-register the same on-prem identifier.
  • An alert stating that the key has been resent will be provided in the Trial Page UI: "Your Standard license key is already created and sent to your latest mail ID provided now."
  • The Standard license key and Renewal Key may be resent a maximum of 2 times within a 24-hour period for each specific On-Prem Identifier

Unfortunately, we are a few versions behind so I cannot upgrade to the latest release.  Currently trying to go from 4.1.1.111 to 4.2.1.8 and I will keep going until I reach the latest version.

I would suggest waiting until 5.0 is posted and see what the upgrade path for that is.   If need be, I can assist in getting the license for the on-prem identifier but it is usually a 24-48 hr turnaround.

When is 5.0 arriving?  Unfortunately, my version of WMS is getting pinged for a vulnerability and I need to get it resolved.
