WMS 5.4 HF1: Image deployment fails with "Repository Server not found" (Error 105) in Merlin

Hello Dell Community,

We are currently running Wyse Management Suite 5.4 HF1 (build 111) Standard Edition on a local on-premises server, managing Windows IoT devices.

Previously, we were able to capture images from devices and redeploy them via WMS without issues. After upgrading to WMS 5.4 HF1, this process no longer works.

**Symptoms:**
The job starts, the device PXE boots into Merlin 4.0.7, but then fails with the following error:

Fehlgeschlagen - [ERROR: WMS File Repository Server not found. (error code : 105).][ERROR STAGE: Repository validation.][REASON: Could not connect to repository server.][SOLUTION: Check the network connection/authentication.]| (105)

**What we have checked:**
- Client and server are on the same subnet (172.16.x.x), no firewall between them

- The Windows Firewall on the server is disabled
- The WMS server (SRV-WMS-01) is reachable from the client – ping works
- The local repository (C:\WMS\LocalRepo) is functional – file sync works, file count updates correctly
- Port 443 is reachable from the client
- All other WMS communication (MQTT on port 1883, check-in) works fine

**Question:**
Is there anything specific that needs to be done after upgrading WMS to make image pull/deployment work again in Merlin?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
