What would cause Thin Clients to Change from their assigned group?

What would cause Thin Clients to Change from their assigned group with out user interaction? I have 4 child groups under the default group and it appears that any group TC's are placed in they will eventually end up back in the default group.

I can think if 2 scenarios. Check the policy in WMS in the group, specifically Services>WMS Settings Enable Advanced configuration should not be on and not specify a WMS Group Select Group If the device is in a select group hierarchy and a user chooses a different group from the drop down, the device will move (by design)
