Update WMS 3.5 to 5.3
Hi,
We need to update WMS from 3.5 to 5.3, we have some doubts about the mongodb/mariadb update,
Directions says that we need to update mongodb at Enterprise 7.0.22
MongoDB update is included on WMS 5.3 exe? or we need to update previously and make the update of mongodb aislated?
For other hand, we need to know if we can update from WMS 3.5 to 5.3 or we need to udpdate scalated? (from 3.5-4.0, or 4.0-5.3)

If you drill through the release notes at dell.com/support it will give you the specific upgrade paths from each release to get to 5.5. It will be many steps, and each step is fragile with that old a version.
The advice I give most customers if they are facing this is DOnt do it. Build a new WMS build and migrate the thin clients and policies to a new server, and get in the habit of updating at least twice per year (we do 4 releases generally).
If it is ThinOS, then there are some ways to use policies to move the devices. If it is IOT, that is a pain.

Do you have the documentation for make the migrate of the WMS from the old one to the new one?
We can afford the migration instead the update of the version

No official documentation but it has been brought up a few times in this forum.

Hi @DELL-Scott H,
We are facing the new server deployment, the point is, if we install a standard version, key license that we use at the installation, if we change name of server, It will remain working? Or it's associated to the name of server?
For other hand, we undestand that we migrate de database from old server to this one, and after that, we need to migrate policys and enrolle computers again?
Computers can be enrolled in both servers? for ensure that we don't lose the contact with the wosktation
