leaving default user / password blank

Hi,

At the moment we have a strange situation. In our configs under general settings, the default user name and password are not blank. Whatever we try to remove it, it will just get back. This way our end users see what has been filled in. Ofcourse we can change the value, but we want a totally blank default user name / password.

What are we forgetting ?

I have seen this before.   Are you using Chrome?  I have seen where certain browsers pre-populate that field using cached credentials.

try a different browser.

If that isnt it, check a policy above that one to see if it is being inherited.

You need to reseal

To fix this issue, Microsoft created the System Preparation tool or “Sysprep.”

You need to navigate to C:\Windows\System32\sysprep

You can also just type “sysprep” in the Run command and click “Enter.”

In the Sysprep folder, double-click sysprep.exe.

In the System Preparation Tool window, click “Generalize”, click “Shutdown”, and then click “OK”. The computer generalizes the image and shuts down.

The Sysprep /generalize command removes unique information from a Windows installation so that you can safely reuse that image on a different computer.
