Devices Coming into WMS with MAC address?

Some devices have been coming into our WMS migration with a mac address host name. The most recent one is not allowing us to change the hostname of the device and is not functioning properly. Are there any workarounds that someone could suggest trying?

Unless you have something setup to change the Terminal Name, or you're manually changing at the device, by default ALL of your thin clients should check in with the WTMACADDR nomenclature for the default Terminal Name.  Make sure your FW is up to date.  If port 1883 is blocked, I believe this will prevent the ability to rename the device from the WMS console.  Other ways to verify that port 1883 is accessible/open is to try to initiate a device reboot from the WMS Devices screen, or try to send a message from the same screen.  If those fail then that's a tell tale sign that port 1883 is blocked.  You should be able to click on the device and rename it with no special setup or configuration.  BTW - in the drop down it's labeled as 'Change Host Name'.
