CIFS Local Admin Purpose

Good afternoon all, I have been using the Wyse Management Suite for a while now and I have one question I keep coming back to that even my more seasoned coworkers cannot attest to. What exactly does the CIFS Admin account that is asked to be created do? I know that CIFS is a network protocol for file sharing (effectively SMB in this case) however I cannot see a share that was created by the WMS install. So as it stands, the CIFS Admin seemingly has no purpose and because of how it has been configured prior to my coming into this team, appears to just be a standing security concern. Is there a purpose for the CIFS Admin in an instance of WMS where all installed features are local to the same server? i.e. the repo, mongo DB, and maria DB are all on one system.
