Wyse C50LE: firefox doesn't run flash object

Good morning,

I work for a multinational in a distribution centre. Some time ago we purchased a big screen TV and a Wyse C50LE system to operate it. The idea is to display useful information for all employees to see.

Now our IT dept. has been struggling ever since to get it to work so I was granted the opportunity to try it myself, being a "PC techie" (but have very little knowledge about thinclients or Linux environments).

So I started from a powerpoint file, converted it into a shockwave flash file which loops (*.swf), formatted a USB stick and mounted it.

Problem is: when I open Firefox and select "open file" and point to the flash file, it doesn't do anything. Can aynone help me or point me into the right direction ?
