Wyse 3040 - Horizon Vmware - Keyboard Issue

Hello

We have a problem with the keyboard on Wysse Clients 3040 with firmware Dell ThinOS 2402 (9.5.1079) and Vmware Horizon 2312.1.8.12.1.12.
The input sometimes blocks. To fix it you have to switch to the Wyse interface and then back to the Horizon application.
Or you can connect to the client with VNC. As soon as you connect, the keyboard works again.
Does anyone have the same problem?

HI,  I'm have the same issue with my devices, i ran upgrades via the WMS console and re-imaged with a USB but so far had no luck.

I have our Wyse clients upgrading to the same OS and Horizon version as yourself and i have also got them on what i can see was the latest BIOS V1.2.5

Yes, have the same issue.

Opened a ticket with Dell. They are useless and said 3040 is not supported anymore. So you are out of luck.

Going back to ThinOS_2311_9.4.4123 seems to resolve the issue.

We have discovered that this problem also occurs with the 5070 models with firmware 2408 (9.5.3102).

Hi,

We also have the same keyboard disconnection issue which comes back when going in to the Wyse interface and back.

Our behaviour is that the keyboard disconnects sporadically when a user is on a teams call and is having a screen share. ThinOS 2402 does not exhibit the behaviour for us but we use VMWare client 2306 with this.

If we upgrade to ThinOS 2408 then the VMWare client gets updated to to 2406 then the issue reoccurs.

Disabling offloading on teams is a workaround for us but brings its own issues on our environment.

Can I ask what version of the VMWare Agent are you using on your machines?

We are experiencing this also on the Optiplex 3000 TC.

We have the following configuration:
OS: 9.5.4070
BIOS: 1.22.1
VMware: 2406.8.13.0.33 (SDK)

Any updates to resolve this issue yet?

Open a ticket with Dell if you haven't already.

We had this issue on 3040 clients and had to go back to older ThinOS and Horizon client.

We just got some 3000's and I experienced this issue today in my limited testing. Running the same versions as you.

It actually happened as soon as I ended a teams call. Could be a co-incidence or what @BenW97​ is the issue.

Although, we never had teams optimization enabled on the 3040's (not on the Horizon side anyway, we disabled it in the registry since 3040 would choke with teams optimization).
