Refresh rate and resolution

Refresh rate and resolution

Hi,

I've got a Wyse C50LE thin client with Linux Suse, hooked up to a projector of older sort. The projector only supports VGA so I've got a DVI to VGA adapter on the cable connected to the projector. Problem is the picture is bad, due to the refresh rate being set too low for what the projector can handle, so the whole screen is buzzing.

I went into the control center and display to try and raise the refresh rate but there's only 60Hz in the dropdown list. Also I can only choose between 1024 x 768, 800 x 600 and 640 x 480 resolution, which is okay, but whenever a monitor iss connected I have more options here.

The Wyse doesn't seem to recognise the "monitor", so I bet it can't communicate it's properties and that's why the list is so short. But is there a way to maybe trick the Wyse to send out 75Hz instead? Even if it's unsupported?

Appriciate any help, thanks!
