question about copy and paste on Z50D Linux using VMware View

I now have the Nx(NoMachine)client installed on a Z50D Linux thin client.
So I can access our Linux servers using an xterm, VNC or Nx, in addition
to accessing a VMware View Win7 desktop, at the same time.

I have a question about text "cut-and-paste" between the local xterm on the
Z50D and a text file on the VMware View Win7 desktop.

What I see is: I can't copy-paste in either direction.

Is this something that should work ?
or
am I expecting too much from VM-View interacting with the local xterm ?

I think we have copy and paste enabled on the VM-View server. I'm checking this again.
