Wyse D10DP - how to use 5GHz Channels above Channel 64
Hi
We use some Wyse D10DP ThinClients on mobile Carts in our Hospital. Although we have a very good WLAN-coverage the clients always connected to the 2.4GHz band. Now we installed the latest Firmware on the Thinclients (8.2_017) and use the new "PreferBand=5G" Option.
With this option set, the Thinclient connected to the 5Ghz band but ONLY if the channels on the AP are below 100. If the channels on the AP are set above 64, the D10DP didn't see the 5 GHz band and connected to the 2.4GHz band again.
What's the reason for this behavior and how can we use all 5GHz - channels with the D10DP?
Thank for your help!
Claudio

Claudio,
As far as I know, there should be no restrictions on this. as long s you have
Device=Wireless
PreferBand=5G
If you have that on your INI, it should work. You may want to contact Dell Wyse Technical Support to verify if this is a known issue or not.
