T10 & Webcam

We have a series of T10 thin clients connected over RDP to Windows 8.1 workstations.

Everything works well.

The users now require Skype however when I plug in a microphone, speak and webcam into the T10 the webcam is not recognised by Windows.

In the T10 configuration screen there is a tab for webcam and it correctly show the images from the camera.

What do I need to do in order to get my webcam to work with the T10?

Dercni,

To get the webcam to work, you just need to plug in a webcam to the USB port. The following is a list of tested devices:

Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam 5
Logitech C270 HD Webcam3
Logitech C525 HD Webcam 7
Logitech C615 HD Webcam 13
Logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam1
Logitech C930e HD Webcam2
Logitech ConferenceCam CC3000e 9
Logitech HD Webcam C310 6
Logitech Pro C910
Logitech USB Webcam 9000 8
Microsoft LifeCam 3.0 Cinema 10
Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 12
Microsoft LifeCam studio

If your camera is recognized, the camera option in the settings section will become available.Your camera may also not be set up for redirection on your RDP settings.

Hope this helps.

hi Roger,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

My camera is a Logitech C910 and is recognised by the T10 as displays images correctly in the preview window. My problem lies in getting Windows to recognise this camera and i suspect the T10 and Windows are not communicating correctly. As you pointed out this may be an RDP setting.

Can you direct me towards which RDP settings would be required to get my webcam to work as other USB devices are already working.

Thanks

If it's recognized, it should work. You may want to make sure that the drivers are also installed on the TS.
